At Chardam we offer a full line of manufacturing services, as each department works in concert with the others to produce a quality product in a timely manner. PROCESS ENGINEERING

Our Engineering capabilities are the cornerstone of our manufacturing services. Chardam employes only seasoned engineers with years of experience in the Aerospace Gear Industry. Chardam regularly breaks down customer prints into individual operational drawings mitigating risk while maximizing efficiency, producibility, and safety.


PARALLEL AXIS GEAR GRINDING

With our Hofler and Reishauer gear grinders Chardam has the ability to produce the finest quality gears in the industry. Our equipment allows us to produce up to 28" diameter gears and hold AGMA 14 tolerances. One of our newest pieces of equipment boasts on-board inspection to reduce set-up time, reduce scrap, increase accuracy, and maximize efficiency.


SPIRAL BEVEL GEAR GRINDING

With one of our newest equipment additions, Chardam has the ability to produce the most demanding Spiral Bevel Gears. Our Klingelnberg is directly linked to our CNC Gear Inspection machine (closed loop) enabling us to make precise adjustments reducing both set-up time and minimizing scrap while maximizing efficiency.


GEAR & SPLINE CUTTING

Chardam has full capabilities for Shaping, Hobbing, Broaching, Spiral Bevel Gear Cutting, and Gear Honing to meet your needs.


CNC MILLING

With our CNC machining centers, Chardam can take on complex 4 axis 3D machining. Chardam utilizes state of the art technology to allow machining directly from solid models. We also have full CMM capability and are diversely experienced with exotic materials and alloys.


CNC OD & ID GRINDING

With our CNC machining centers, Chardam can take on complex 4 axis 3D machining. Chardam utilizes state of the art technology to allow machining directly from solid models. We also have full CMM capability and are diversely experienced with exotic materials and alloys.


CNC TURNING

Our seasoned machinist and versatile equipment give us the edge on complex turning. From small diameters all the way up to 30" and lengths on our Swiss Lathe up to 135". Our Swiss Lathe gives us the capability to produce long small diameter shafts that would be impossible on conventional equipment. Our conventional equipment routinely processes highly complex geometries and demanding tolerances on both standard and exotic materials.


INSPECTION

No reputable manufacturer is any better than it's ability to effectively validate your blue print requirements. At Chardam we invest heavily in the latest inspection equipment and technology as well as a highly skilled and experienced inspection staff.

One of our latest additions is a full Metallographic Laboratory consisting of a Clark CM-800AT Microhardness Tester as well as a full complement of supporting equipment.

This addition allows us to carefully and precisely ensure that all final carburized case depths are achieved and verified ahead of the final finished product metallographic evaluation. This gives us a distinct advantage to make adjustments in the process immediately after carburize and the ability to minimize potential delivery impacts that would have resulted from an over or under case depth condition.

We are not currently seeking accreditation for our lab at this time and only use it for our own information. We will continue to use accredited lab's for the final certified metallographical report.
